BKPI Pupri Sitamarhi was established in 2015 as a diploma-level Government technical institute under the Department of Science, Technology and Technical Education, Government of Bihar.
Since its establishment, the institute has worked to provide structured technical education, practical learning, academic discipline, and board-aligned diploma programmes for students across core engineering branches.

While the Principal is the overall in-charge of the institute, administrative and service functions are carried forward through designated academic and support sections to ensure effective, orderly, and student-focused functioning.

The institute is affiliated to SBTE Patna under Department of Science, Technology and Technical Education, Government of Bihar, for diploma-level technical education.
